I thought my dog was not smart enough, then I realized......., 12/25/13
by
My dog's kibble is too large to fit through the opening when the rope is in the bottle. He gave up and I thought he was a simpleton canine, until I tried to get some out. Bummer. I don't want to have to buy special food for this thing. Also, please be careful if your dog tries to chew on the bottle. I work in a vet's office and we repair lots of broken teeth from toys that are too hard.

PETSAFE RESPONSE: We are sorry to hear that the Busy Buddy® Tug-A-Jug design did not meet your expectations! Please know that this toy does not normally require any sort of specific food for the opening. We often use different size kibble to increase the difficulty to better suit your dog's play or interest. We do offer other toys that may better suit your needs, such as the Busy Buddy Chuckle or Barnacle, especially if you are concerned about your pet chewing. These options can be viewed at the link below.

Very Durable!, 12/13/13

This turned out to be a challenging toy that has lasted for over four months now and still going strong. It really made my dog think and work for his food and not just gulp it down.

Perfect!, 12/4/13

I have a dog that chews through Kong toys and the like generally within an hour of getting them. I got the Large Tug-a-Jug, and so far it has been great! It's big enough that he can't really get his whole mouth around the plastic part to do any damage, and it keeps him busy for >1 hour at a time. I feed him his dinner in it, then take it away once he's done to minimize any chance of him destroying it. I really recommend it!

starts off great, 11/2/13

great toy, but after hour(which is great) he managed to eat the rubber top off, the rope lasted about 30min. so just the hard plastic bottle left. kept him busy for hours but the scrapping of the teeth on it makes it hard to sleep. perhaps giving it to him in the cage.

Love the idea.....BUT!, 9/23/13
by
The problem I have with this is that I have a 85 lb. American Bulldog 20 months old who loves to chew and I am constantly looking for new and inventive ideas for my little boy.
The idea of this toy is really awesome. The only problem is that he had it for less than hour and knocked the rubber off around the top and cracked the top of the bottle and I was afraid he was going to swallow the hard plastic. which would not be unusual. He is very hard on his toys. But the idea of this is really great. If it could hold up it would most assuredly keep him busy.
